Commencing operations in 1965, Air Canada has grown to become Canada’s largest full service airline. Today the airline, along with its regional partner Air Canada Express, has over 33 million customers per year, making it the tenth largest passenger airline in the world.

With such a large number of customers and a network of 178 destinations, Air Canada has four hubs, located in Calgary, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Halifax, Edmonton, Ottawa, Winnipeg and London in the UK are also focus cities for the airline.

Collectively Air Canada has a fleet of 204 aircraft and flies to a total of 81 international destinations spanning 33 countries. From Australia the airline flies nonstop from Sydney to Vancouver, and also departs Melbourne with a stopover in Sydney.

When flying with Air Canada, you can choose from Economy or Executive First Service, as well as opt to join the Aeroplane rewards program, where members can earn points with Air Canada, Jazz and their affiliated partners. Points accumulated with the program can be redeemed on flights, upgrades and various other perks with Air Canada and their partners.

Check-in

When travelling with Air Canada, you can check-in for your flight online from 24 hours up until 60 minutes prior to departure. Airport check-in times varying depending on the destination with flights to Tel Aviv closing at 75 minutes before and flights to all other destinations closing at 60 minutes prior to departure.

Air Canada allows Executive First Service passengers to bring 1 piece of 10kg hand luggage and 3 pieces of 32kg (each) checked baggage.

Lounges

Air Canada has a number of Maple Leaf lounges located at most major airports across Canada as well as international locations in London, Los Angeles and Paris airports. Within the lounges, Executive First service passengers along with Maple Leaf club and various Air Canada members can sit down and watch Bell TV HD programming while enjoying complimentary snacks and beverages including espressos, cappuccinos and beet on tap. Hewlett Packard business facilities, conference rooms (select locations) and wireless internet access are also available.
