Established in 1974, British Airways is one of the UK’s major airlines, taking out the number one spot when it comes to fleet size, international destinations and international flights. Superseded by easyJet when it comes to the most passengers, the airline is still notably large, carrying an estimated 36 million passengers each year.

In addition to London Heathrow, British Airways also has a hub at Gatwick Airport. From Australia, British Airways flies nonstop from Sydney to London. The airline also has a code share agreement with Qantas for the Australian market.

When flying with British Airways, you can choose from Economy, Premium Economy, Business or First Class as well as earn Frequent Flyer miles as part of the Qantas rewards program. Points accumulated with the program can be redeemed on flights, upgrades, lounge access or to purchase goods from the airline’s online store.

British Airways has a total of 60 dedicated lounges located throughout the UK, North America, Europe and Africa. Of the 60 lounges, BA has four different types of lounges; First, Galleries, Terraces and Arrivals.
