First taking to the skies in 1985, today Emirates is one of the world’s leading international airlines, boasting an impressive network of 125 destinations and a fleet of 183 aircraft. Amongst its network are four of the world’s ten longest non-stop commercial flights; Dubai to Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco. With such a large network, Emirates operates over 2,500 flights per week.

Based at Dubai International Airport, Emirates has won numerous awards for its excellence in service including ‘Airline of the Year’ by Air Transport World. The airline’s Firstand Business Class cabins in particular, are highly revered, thanks to their spacious designs and modern technology.

When flying with Emirates, you can choose from Economy Class, Business Class or First Class as well as opt to join the Business Rewards and Skywards program, where members can earn points with Emirates and their partners. Points accumulated with the programs can be redeemed on flights and upgrades with the airline.

Check-in

When flying with Emirates, you can check-in online via the web or your mobile from 24 hours up until 90 minutes prior to the flight’s departure. For airport check-in, Emirates recommends Economy passengers check-in 3 hours prior to the flight’s departure time and First and Business Class passengers check-in 60 minutes prior to the flight’s departure.

Comfort

Sit back relax and enjoy the comforts of Business Class with Emirates. In the airlines A380 and select Boeing 777 aircraft, Business passengers can stretch out on flat beds measuring 79 inches in length. To further add to your comfort, the seats also feature a built-in mini bar, privacy divider, power storage, in-seat power supply and a touch screen that doubles as a wireless seat controller.

Dining

Dining onboard Emirates’ Business Class is a multi-course affair complete with hors d'oeuvre, entrees and cold canapés. Dinners and lunches span five courses with hot and cold desserts, fresh fruit, port with five types of cheese and liquors with sweets also served. Healthy meal options are also available, as well as a wide range of beverages.

Entertainment

Emirates offers the Ice on demand entertainment system, allowing you to choose from 1,200 channels via your 17 inch screen. The screen also allows you to stay connected with the ability to send emails and text messages.

Baggage

Emirates allows Business passengers to bring 2 pieces of 12kg hand luggage (total), 2 pieces of 32kg checked baggage for flights to North America and Brazil and 1 piece of 40kg checked baggage for flights to all other destinations.

First Class

When flying Emirates First Class you will experience the ultimate in luxury sky travel. On A380-800, A340-500, 3-class Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, enjoy a completely private First Class suite with closing doors, flat bed, coat rack, wardrobe with mirror and mini bar. For decadent comfort that goes above and beyond, the airline’s A380-800 aircraft are also equipped with first class showers and a spa. First Class seats range in pitch from 62 inches up to 86 inches.

Emirates offers up to 1400 channel of entertainment on demand, with LCD screens ranging in size from 19 to 23 inches depending on the aircraft. Mobile phone connectivity is also available on most flights while A480 aircraft offer on-air wi-fi.

Emirates have a total of 256 lounges with locations throughout the Middles East, Asia, Africa, the Pacific and the UK. Within these lounges First and Business Class passengers as well as Skywards Gold members can enjoy a full bar service and large buffet dining boasting a range of Western, Arabic, Fart Eastern and vegetarian cuisine. Other facilities on offer within the lounges include showers, Business Centres, wireless internet access and plasma screens.
