Finnair has been in the aviation industry for over ninety years, making it one of the world’s oldest airlines. Though old in years, Finnair has one of the youngest fleets in Europe, boasting modern facilities and comfortable cabins.

With a four star Skytrax rating, Finnair now flies to 55 international and 15 domestic destinations. Within its flight network, Finnair boasts one of the geographically shortest routes between Europe and Asia, and links a network of 50 European destinations to 11 Asian cities.

Based its base at Helsinki Airport, Finnair operates flights from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne to Helsinki, with stopovers taking place in Hong Kong or Singapore.

When flying with Finnair, you can choose from Economy or Business Class, as well as opt to join the Finnair Plus rewards program, where members can earn points with Finnair and their affiliated oneworld airlines and retail companies. Points accumulated with the program can be redeemed on flights, upgrades, lounge access or to purchase goods from the airline’s PlusShop.

Business cabins on Finnair A340-300 and A330-300 aircraft contain spacious flat beds with in-seat power. Lie back and relax with pillows, blankets, ear plugs, sock and eyeshades provided by the airline. Other amenities also supplied by Finnair include various cosmetics, bottles of water and amenity kits complete with toothbrushes.

Dining

Finnair’s long-haul in-flight dining menu has a strong focus on fresh and quality ingredients. Take your pick from three main meals, and enjoy a range of delicious courses including soups, breads, fresh fruits, cheeses and desserts. A wide range of beverages are also available. If you have any specific dietary requirements, talk to the airline about pre-ordering a special meal.

Sit back, relax and enjoy a multitude of entertainment on your personal screen. Finnair offers passengers a choice of 34 movies, 24 music channels and 60 albums via an audio video on demand entertainment system, available on Airbus A330-300 and most Airbus A340-300 aircraft.

Finnair’s lounge and spa is located within Helsinki Airport. Inside the lounge Business passengers (must have Finnair AY airline code on ticket ) along with Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver members can relax and enjoy the beverages and snacks on offer.
