Michelle is not only an enthusiastic cruise specialist in terms of knowledge; she also has a vast amount of passion and first-hand experience in cruising and general travel including tours and independent travel.
One of her own recent holidays was a Greek Island cruise from Venice that she just took with her family that Michelle would recommend to anyone. “Cruising past San Marco and the canals of Venice is one of the most iconic cruise experiences in the world and one that won't be available for much longer. It was spectacular, and special, in that I shared it with my kids and partner.”
She also highly rates the River cruises having done 3 of them. “I love the intimate feel of river cruising. The small ships are just the right size, the gorgeous scenery is so close and ever-changing, and the ports are convenient for going ashore. Christmas markets on top of this are so beautiful, fun and festive, especially at night.”
“I love Europe in general – the diverse food, cultures, languages, history, architecture and scenery. And a cruise makes it so easy to see everything without having to repeatedly unpack but sometimes you need to travel on your own or take a tour to experience that beyond the waterways.”
Michelle also loves how travel can challenge you, but also broadens your point of view. “India was a life-changing experience for me – I had to fly in and out of it to backpack in Nepal. I was so frightened by the in-your-face humanity at first, but fell in love with the people, food, sights and experiences very quickly.”
Nowadays Michelle has been exploring New Zealand by car and on foot!
