Anchorage International Airport (ANC) is the main gateway when flying to Alaska and most major US airlines offer year round service from cities across the country.
Year round flights to Anchorage depart from cities such as Honolulu, Seattle, Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas and Chicago. Increased seasonal service during the popular summer months (May to September) will see an increase in frequency from additional cities including Los Angeles, Dallas and Kahului on Maui.
Both United Airlines and Delta Air Lines fly to Australia and offer connections to Anchorage from their Pacific hub in Los Angeles. Direct departures from Hawaii are available on Alaska Airlines. Ask your Travel Associates consultant for a multi-city ticket and explore even more of the US west coast or Hawaii before continuing on to Alaska.
For those who’d like to see the sights on the way to Alaska, hit the open road and take a scenic drive through the American Northwest and Canada. Maybe a cruise is more your style. Alaska cruise itineraries are available from May to September and depart regularly from San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver.
