The range of accommodation offered throughout the Fiji Islands is surprisingly diverse. From a  raw traditional bure, to exquisite and decadent private island resorts, every taste is catered for. Whether you long for the coveted overwater bungalow, quirky treehouse or beachfront bure, you’ll find it in Fiji.

Denarau Island, on the outskirts of Nadi, is the preeminent resort location in all of Fiji. It’s a manmade island with contemporary shopping, bars and restaurants and serviced by a modern marina, Port Denarau, for small cruise ships, private yachts and charter vessels.
There’s a famous golf course and tennis club, part of the Sheraton Fiji Resort, but accessible to the public – at a price. All the big names, Hilton, Sofitel, Westin, Radisson Blu, Wyndham and Sheraton are arrayed along the beachfront where activities like Jetskis, catamarans, scuba diving and parasailing can be found. All resorts are serviced by shuttle, the Bula Bus, and handy to the international airport.

Coral Coast

Around the southern regional business centre of Sigatoka is the so-called Coral Coast, where you can find Shangri-La's Fijian Resort, Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, Warwick Fiji Resort & Spa, Hideaway Hotel and Warwick’s Naviti Hotel. The InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is a little way back toward Nadi, off the highway.
The region gives you the chance to explore something besides the familiar Denarau, like the spectacular Sigatoka Sand Dunes and seldom visited upper reaches of the Sigatoka River by jet boat safari. Also nearby is the award-winning Kula Eco Park housing endangered species like iguana and hawksbill turtles. Shopping or just wandering the streets in downtown Sigatoka is also a fun diversion.

Mamanuca & Yasawa Islands

The two overriding reasons for staying anywhere in the Mamanuca or Yasawa groups is the range of resorts options available as well as the easy access from Nadi International Airport. Transfers can be via speedboat from Denarau or even helicopter direct to your resort.
Sprinkled like a sparkling constellation, Some of Fiji’s most spectacular and exclusive resorts can be found here such as the acclaimed Likuliku Lagoon Resort with its overwater bungalows (an unusual feature in Fiji) or the ultimately romantic 5-star Vomo Resort, located on its own island. The Yasawas are a little further north and some resorts, like the Yasawa Island Resort & Spa require a 25 minute fixed wing transfer.

Northern & Regional Fiji

The second largest island, Vanua Levu in the northern islands, has its own climate, a little drier than big Viti Levu to the south. Along the southern coast and near the township of Savusavu are three premium resorts, Jean-Michel Cousteau, Namale and Koro Sun, while further to the east on the lush garden-like island of Taveuni, three more resorts are located.
Nearby, Matangi Island Resort occupies its own private 100 hectare island and featuring its famous secluded luxury treehouse. This less developed region is often referred to as the true Fiji, with vast tracts of undeveloped jungle, traditional villages and waters alive with colourful marine creatures living on the pristine reef systems.
