Pura Luhur Uluwatu - One of Bali's most important temples, Pura Luhur Uluwatu is dramatically situated on the steep cliff tops overlooking the Indian Ocean. Dating back 800 years, the spectacular temple is a must see attraction for its stunning sunset views and historic Balinese architecture. Daily dance performances add to the allure as do the ancient sculptures and gateways. There is a friendly but curious monkey population which lingers around the temple, so be sure to hang on to your personal belongings.
Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park - Located just a 15 minute drive from Jimbaran Bay, this 200 hectare cultural park features an enormous 23 metre Vishnu statue and a picturesque rocky plateau from where excellent views of Bali Island can be enjoyed. Inside the park visitors will find a temple and amphitheatre and lovely grounds in which to enjoy the cultural atmosphere. The park has free Wi-Fi as well as a restaurant. Outside, there is little shade at the park so bring a hat and cold drink for comfort.
