We are teaming up with SolarBuddy to transform the lives of children living in energy poverty in Vanuatu.
SolarBuddy is a global community of people united by their commitment to creating a sustainable future for all people and our beautiful planet.
There are currently 1.4 billion people living in energy poverty. But the devastating impact this has on their lives can be reversed by providing a simple solar-powered light that can help to improve their health, wellbeing, connectivity and education outcomes.
Since launching in 2016, SolarBuddy has impacted the lives of 420,000 children and their families. SolarBuddy lights have also been used by AusAid in the South Pacific and are a key item in UNHCRs disaster relief kit.
You can purchase a light for an additional $28 NZD with any Travel Associates booking. This light will be gifted directly to a child in need in Vanuatu, and you will even be able to personalise a message to the recipient. Our goal is to gift 42,000 lights to children living in energy poverty in Vanuatu.
