"My luxury travel expertise and skill in finding unusual and rare options is something I’m very proud of. However, the most important thing is the ability I have to engage with and understand each client, as each of them are very different – which is what I love", says Alexandra.

One of her most enjoyable bookings (and there are a great many) was helping a client create a spectacular 22-day Ultimate African Safari by private jet from Cairo to Cape Town. This special itinerary had her client starting their adventure by dining in ancient temple ruins and navigating the Nile, next experiencing the world's greatest migration, followed by a trek in search of mountain gorillas. To top it off, the journey finished with a journey on the luxurious train known as the Pride of Africa - Rovos Rail between Pretoria and Cape Town.

Her favourite personal experience is a little closer to home – Bora Bora in Tahiti. Alexandra enthuses, “Tahiti is a South Pacific destination with a chic French twist! Jumping off from your overwater bungalow into the beautiful turquoise waters is pure bliss. I also swam with dolphins when I was there last and it was one of those magical ‘pinch-me, am I’m dreaming?’ experiences.”

She also rates flying first-class with Emirates from Europe to Dubai (who wouldn’t!), with its caviar served on fine china, washed down with free-flowing Dom Perignon Rosé. She says, “I wish I could have paused time; this truly was a travel memory I will never forget!”

Or how about quite a different type of travel thrill – deep sea fishing in Mexico. Alexandra fondly remembers a story with all of the right ingredients – a sunrise departure, an unexpected giant fish, a triumphant (and amusing) return and a lunch to end all lunches. She remarks that having the opportunity to live under the Tuscan sun like a local for a period in her life was definitely foundational in her love of food and wine! Living at a villa in a vineyard in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Alexandra was able to discover why she has such a deep love for Europe and all of the wondrous flavours it has to offer!

Alexandra enthuses, “I live and breathe what I do and get such a buzz out of making people's dreams become a reality. Every travel itinerary I create is always so different from the one before. Variety truly is the spice of life!”
