At 37 she decided to leave her job and jump on a plane to the UK, with nothing booked apart from a U2 concert in Ireland. Tania says, “I was winging the rest, and it was hands-down the best decision of my life. I travelled for five months through Europe, then Morocco and Egypt. I fell in love with my backpack, and my passion for travel became even stronger. I grew so much over this time, learned so many lessons and met the most amazing people from all over the world.” The trip also gave her a new-found appreciation of travelling light – now one of her most enthusiastic tips. She says, “Pack light, you can always buy it once you’re there!”

Now she enjoys encouraging other people to follow their travel dreams, and loves helping to create their special stories and memories. One of her most recent highlights was helping a client and her 85-year-old mother experience a trip on the mother’s bucket list – a European river cruise with several other family members, so they could all experience her trip of a lifetime together.

If asked to pick her favourites, Tania doesn’t hesitate to nominate the Middle East, and within that, Jordan. She enthuses, “Jordan is my ‘top-of-the-pops’. My visit to the treasury and the monastery would have to be my most magical travel memory. I wasn't expecting it to be so exceptional. Every day in Jordan was wonderful, from the sights, experiences, the people and the food.”
