Over 14 unforgettable days, Maria and her best friend Shan immersed themselves in Greece’s rich culture, taking in the ancient ruins of Athens, the seaside villages of Mykonos, the whitewashed cliffs of Santorini, and the sun-drenched serenity of Crete.

Maria’s one-of-a-kind journey began with a business class flight with Qatar Airways from Melbourne to Athens via Doha – a luxurious start to the trip where she settled into her own cocoon of comfort above the clouds, complete with signature cocktails and fine dining. After a relaxing layover spent at Qatar Airways’ Al Mourjan Business Lounge in Doha, Maria arrived in Athens to a private transfer that whisked her away to her first 5-star sanctuary: Cape Sounio, a breathtaking Grecotel Resort with uninterrupted views of the Temple of Poseidon.

Over three nights on the Athens Riviera, Maria savoured a collection of experiences that fused luxury with well-being: a destination meditation, floating breakfast, and an invigorating hour-long outdoor laughter yoga session, designed to re-balance the nervous system, leaving you feeling revitalised.
While in the Greek capital, Maria explored the ancient Acropolis on a private guided tour, followed by free time in the charming Plaka district, sipping cocktails at A for Athens and wandering Anafiotika’s pastel-hued streets. Culinary indulgences included dinner at Yali Waterfront Restaurant with unparalleled views of the Athens Riviera, elegant poolside dining at Aegean Grill, and a refined meal on the final night at Cape Sounio’s The Restaurant, which perfectly combines Mediterranean flavours with sweeping sea views.
Mykonos: Wellness, Wonder and Island Vibes

A short, 40-minute business class flight from Athens brought Maria to Mykonos, where she checked into the sumptuous Deos Mykonos, part of the prestigious Myconian Collection, for the next three nights. Perched above the Aegean Sea, it was the perfect retreat after boutique shopping on Matoyianni Street, visiting the Mykonos Windmills, and strolling the alleys of Little Venice, an area full of charming, colourful houses right by the sea.
Wellness took centre stage with a lavish aroma-infused massage and a transformative sound healing session, where therapeutic sounds and vibrations invite deep relaxation and energetic alignment. Between the moments of calm, Maria took some time out at the resident beach clubs and soaked up the charm of Mykonos town, a traditional Cycladic village that gives visitors a real taste of authentic Greece. Maria departed Mykonos with a private transfer to the ferry bound for sun-soaked Santorini – her next sensational stop.
Santorini: Iconic Views, Fine Wine, and Sunset Serenity

Santorini, the jewel of the Cyclades, welcomed Maria with porterage off the ferry and private transport to her hotels. Her time in Santorini was split between two exquisite properties – Vedema and the cliffside Mystique: two of our advisor's favourite Santorini stays. Spending two nights at each property, this clever pairing offered two perspectives of the island’s soul: the inland serenity of Vedema and the iconic caldera drama of Mystique.
Her days were filled with curated experiences, from a private wine tasting at Vedema’s Canava Wine Bar, set in a historic 400-year-old winery, to a relaxing beach day at Istoria’s Private Beach Club, where the volcanic black sand meets the crystalline Aegean waters. Staying at Mystique on the northwestern side of Santorini offered the perfect opportunity to explore the postcard-worthy streets of Oia, dotted with blue-domed churches and cave-style homes clinging to the cliffs. A soothing spa treatment at Elios Spa allowed Maria to melt into bliss before heading to dinner at the famed Ambrosia Restaurant in Oia with Santorini’s endless sunset views as her backdrop.
The highlight: a spectacular half-day cruise on a Lagoon 450 Catamaran Yacht, sailing the caldera’s crystal-clear waters – the perfect nod to Santorini’s enduring magic.
Crete: A Culinary Finale in Coastal Bliss

Then came a spectacular finale: Crete, accessed by a private 45-minute helicopter flight from Santorini to Elounda’s helipad. Maria and her friend Shan embarked on an extraordinary aerial journey aboard a Bell 206 helicopter, as incredible views painted the skies. On arrival, they were welcomed into the haven of Phaea Blue, Crete’s only luxury boutique hotel situated directly on the beach.
Over three glorious days, Maria enjoyed the best of Crete with the Traditional Caique Experience, sailing the Mirabello Gulf aboard a handcrafted vessel, indulging in cultural discoveries and local Cretan wines and cheeses along the way. She also tucked into the hotel’s Phaea Farmers Feast in the organic garden, celebrating locally grown ingredients in a farm-to-table culinary adventure; and discovered the secrets of Greek cuisine in an authentic cooking class, learning to prepare traditional dishes like dakos, dolmadakia, and prawn saganaki. Maria’s journey concluded with a soothing spa treatment and a delicious seafood dinner at Blue Door Taverna, an enchanting former fisherman’s stone house.
Maria and Shan's luxurious Greek sojourn came to a perfect close with private transfers and a business class flight home with Qatar Airways.

As Kellie shares, “Planning Maria’s itinerary was such a joy. I wanted her to experience the absolute magic of the Greek islands in complete luxury – staying at some of the most stunning hotels, sailing on a private catamaran, even arriving in Crete by helicopter. But equally important were those mindful, meaningful moments, created by sunrise meditations, sound healing, and floating breakfasts. It’s about balance: ticking off iconic landmarks while still experiencing “wow” moments where you feel like you’re the guest of honour.”
