With origins in the air mail industry, United Airlines and grown to become a leading US airline. Today United boasts a fleet of 705 aircraft and reaches 108 international destinations across 69 countries and all six inhabited continents.

United Airlines has a total of ten hubs, including its main base in Houston, Texas as well as Los Angeles, Tokyo and Guam to name a few. The major airline also operates a prominent domestic network and is the leading US carrier for Hawaii. On average United operates over 5,000 flights per day.

From Australia, United Airlines flies nonstop from Sydney to Los Angeles and San Francisco. When flying internationally with United you can choose from Economy, Business Firs and Global First. The airline also operates the MileagePlus rewards program where members can earn and redeem points with the airline and a wide range of partners.

Check-in

When travelling with United, you can check-in for your flight online via web or mobile from 24 hours prior to your departure. Airport check-in times close from 90 minutes to 1 hour prior to your departure time depending on the destination. For specific check-in details, please refer to the airline.

BusinessFirst

Comfort

United Business First is the airline’s international Business Class airfare, designed specifically with international business travellers in mind. As such Business First cabins on 747 aircraft contain lie-flat seats that recline to become 72 inch beds. The seats are also fitted with USB ports, Apple iPod adaptors and ergonomic tray tables ideal for laptop computers. For added comfort, Business First passengers are also given amenity kits and beverages before departure.

Dining

When dining in United Business First guests are given the option of a 3-course meal or express dining. Desserts, cheeses, fruits and premium wines are also served during the flight.

Entertainment

Sit back and enjoy on demand entertainment with your personal 15.4 inch screen, where you can choose from 150 hours of programming. Available on 747, 767 and as select 777 aircraft.

Baggage

United Airlines allows Business First passengers to bring 1 piece of hand luggage limited by size rather than weight and 3 pieces of 32kg (each) checked baggage.

Global First

Comfort

Global First cabins are designed with the utmost comfort in mind. Passengers flying Global First long haul on a B747 aircraft are privy to the airlines custom suites featuring seats that recline to a 6 foot 6 inches lie-flat bed and also include 4-way lumbar support and a 6-way adjustable headrest. Duvet-style blankets as well as amenity kits including skin care products from Philosophy are also provided. In addition to sleep, Global First seats are also ideal for business purposes with in-seat power, USB ports, iPod connectivity and ergonomic tray tables designed to accommodate laptop computers.

Dining

Dining in United’s Global First cabin is a delicious 6 course affair including appetizer, salad, mid-flight snack service and choice of entrée and dessert. In addition to quality meals, complimentary beverages are also served, including award-winning wines, beers, cocktails, juices and freshly brewed coffee.
