Guided by London-based design studio Sagrada, the transformation draws inspiration from the building's rich history and its visionary founder, Francesc Cambó, paying homage to both the Noucentisme era and the Chicago School, key influences on the hotel's original 1920s architecture. Situated on the iconic Vía Laietana, Grand Hotel Central is perfectly positioned in the vibrant El Born neighborhood, just steps from the beach and a short walk from the elegant shopping avenue of Paseo de Gracia.

A full refurbishment completed in 2024 has transformed every space to honour its heritage while embracing modern comfort and luxury. At the heart of the hotel lies the historic wood-panelled library of Francesc Cambó, showcasing a selection of his personal book collection, offering guests a unique glimpse into the legacy of the hotel's founder. The hotel boasts 147 elegantly redesigned rooms and suites. These include Classic, Superior, Deluxe, and Deluxe Corner rooms, as well as Junior, Master, and Grand Suites, including a Two Bedroom Grand Suite. All rooms feature vegan amenities by Carner Barcelona, rain effect showers, bathrobes and slippers, and 300 thread count 100% Egyptian cotton sheets.
